1. What is the cost to play for the season?

The cost to play for the Foothills Storm for the 2026-27 season will be $2000 plus a $250 fundraising deposit. Players will be able to receive their deposit back by selling their allotted raffle tickets. Players will also be required to participate in fundraising initiatives to help raise additional funds for the team.

The Foothills Storm also provides a payment plan for all fees. Contact our team treasurer, Farrah at treasurer@foohillsstormhockey.com for more information.

2. What is covered by your season fees? 

In addition to the cost of ice (practices and games), on-ice officials for the 30 regular season and playoffs; your fees cover the cost of an away and home jersey, pant shells, socks and additional team branded apparel (e.g., hockey bag and backpack), transportation and accommodations for games as needed and a professional trainer at each game to support the health and well being of the players. The team will seek community sponsorships and conduct fundraisers during the season to help offset all expenses. 

3. How many players will be on the team?

The team is permitted to carry up to 25 rostered players during the season.

4. What kind of commitment is there to play on the Storm?

The team will play a total of 30 regular season games and a minimum of 2 playoff games. The majority of our home games will continue be played out of Viking Rentals Centre - Gold, Okotoks Rec Centre - Murray Arena and the Scott Seaman Sports Rink. 

All practices will be at the Viking Rentals Centre - Gold at 9:15 PM, with one practice every Wednesday night and an additional practice every other Monday.
